4 of my recent experimental films I’ve made during the first year of my PhD at UCC were selected to be screened at the 2021 IndieCork Film Festival.

The included films: FRAMERATES, November 2020, [sync] I & [sync] II, presented as a Special Programme titled ‘FRAMERATES & Other Works’.

FRAMERATES – A series of 6 mini-films exploring the effect of rapid frame-by-frame editing on sounds and visuals.

​

[sync] I & [sync] II – 2 films that explore the concepts of sound/image synchronisation and ‘chance-based audiovisual interaction’, while maintaining equality and independence between the films’ sounds and images. (‘[sync] I’ & ‘[sync] II’ are presented together for this programme)

November 2020 – an exploration of sounds and images recorded throughout November 2020. 30x30second visual pieces were made(1 every day of the month) and 4x225second audio pieces were made(1 every week), with the final order being randomly determined.
